The narrative based medicine and new technologies

On February 1, 2018, Roberto Ascione joined the workshop “Le narrazioni vestite di tecnologie. Come cambiano le storie e il loro uso nell’era della salute digitale” at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità in Rome.

The workshop has the aim to explore the relationship between narratives and new technologies. HCP, researchers, patients’ associations, startups and innovative companies will discuss the opportunities offered by new technologies in the diffusion of the narrative based medicine by facilitating the empowerment of citizens, including patients with rare diseases and their relatives.

Roberto Ascione talked about the importance of the role of start-ups in the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
